Some Thoughts About One of The Most Anticipated Events in This Year
1.Big blockbuster movies grab it all! Gw entah kenapa optimis film Avatar bakal merebut gelar best picture lengkap dengan James Cameron sebagai best directornya. Tetapi jujur aja, prediksi gw sering kali salah seperti pas golden globe kemarin. Namun melihat hasil golden globe yg dimenangkan juga oleh film-film blockbuster, bukan mustahil Avatar menang lagi. Do you know that the reason why the best picture nominations expanded to 10 pictures is so 5 blockbuster “good” movies could get their share in helping the tv ratings? (Just a rumour guys :p)
2.Untuk best acting category-nya, bagi gw siapa aja berhak menang selain Sandy. No offense ya neng, tpi gw condong lebih memihak ke 4 aktris lainnya. It might be the best performance of your life yet, yet truthfully it’s not the best performance in this year. Untuk cowoknya, mungkin George Clooney atau Jeff Bridges. No complaint here!
3.Best supporting cast pilihan gw kembali sama kayak Golden Globe. No one deserves it better than Mo’Nique and Christoph Waltz
4.Best animated feature. One of my biggest dissapointment this year! Why? Ponyo doesn’t even get a noms! Suck BIG time! Jelas Up lah ya pemenangnya, setelah kemungkinan Up yang kecil dalam menyabet Best Picture.
5.Untuk urusan teknis, film The Young Victoria dan Avatar memperoleh banyak nominasi . Victoria mulai dari kostum hingga make up dan Avatar dari efek hingga sound . Lagu pilihan gw tahun ini adalah Take it All dari Nine yang sudah jadi langganan di MP3 player gw. It will be really kewl if Marion Cotillard sing this at Oscar
6.Another lovely surprise is, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin are going to be the host(s)! Performa keduanya amat sangat memikat saat di film It’s Complicated meskipun jarang berada di satu scene bareng. Tambahin Meryl Streep, then it will be a very delightful evening!
7.The White Ribbon for the best foreign picture! Gw gak sabar pengen nonton film ini setelah amat sangat terpikat dengan resensi dan sinopsisnya!

That about sums up all my nagging and thought about the biggest celebration of Hollywood motion picture event this year. Semoga aja semua prediksi gw bener dan sesuai harapan. Btw, tinggal sekitar 40 hari menuju UAN dan 60 hari menuju SIMAK dan UAS. Dan setelah ujian praktek gak penting, then my life will officially start (again) ! Good luck to you guys as well! :)
